Hi! My name is Karen Yanos.

I grew up in Lakewood, Ohio. I have had a very rewarding 22 year career in Obstetrics working at both Lakewood Hospital and St. John West Shore. Birth has always been a passion of mine, even taking me all the way to Bali for a Dancing for Birth class. I would have loved to have children of my own, but this wasn’t in the stars for me. I was blessed with many nieces and nephews who fill that void, as well as a deep love for animals, and a passion for others to have a beautiful birth experience.

After taking a break from the birthing world and working in hospice, I have found my way back to the birth community, and this time as a Doula. I am excited to be able to support moms with a more personal, educational and hands-on experience. The journey to parenthood can be the most exciting and challenging time in your life. I aim to be a calm, reassuring and supportive presence for you and your partner.
