Hi families! My name is Maria Sablyar, and I am honored to serve as a Birth Doula with Fourth Down. My passion for supporting women through birth began in Poland, where I trained and worked as a hospital midwife before moving to the United States. I am also a proud mother of three and grandmother, and my own experiences as both a parent and professional have deepened my belief that every woman deserves compassionate, personalized support during birth.

In 2018, I became a certified Birth Doula with DONA, bringing together my medical background and my heart for caregiving. Alongside my doula work, I continue to serve in the hospital setting, which keeps me grounded in the resilience of the human body and spirit. Families who have worked with me describe me as kind, patient, and deeply supportive, and it is always my joy to advocate for mothers and help them feel safe, respected, and cared for in one of life’s most important moments.

I know connection is such an important part of choosing the right doula, which is why I prefer to meet with families in person whenever possible. I have found this allows us to truly get to know one another, and helps parents feel my warmth and commitment right from the start.
